Bollywood`s beloved couple Saif-Kareena safe in Delhi
Spicezee Bureau New Delhi, Sept 15: As explosions ripped through places in the capital on Saturday, injuring and killing many, Bollywood’s much loved couple, Saif –Kareena, who were also in Delhi that time, were physically unhurt. Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor were here during serial blasts, while actor Saif has been there for his untitled home production, directed by Imtiaz Ali, Kareena had come for a ribbon-cutting event of a newly launched spa. At the time of the explosions, the couple was reportedly having dinner at the ITC Maurya Sheraton, where they were also staying together. When contacted by reporters to ensure their well being, a worried Saif said, "We are deeply hurt about what's been happening all around us. No harm has come to us. We are fine.” The actor, however, mentioned that they are now afraid of stepping out anywhere because of the blasts. Kareena, who was in the capital for a day, left for Ladakh a day after the blasts, Sunday, to shoot for Raj Kumar Hirani's ‘3 Idiots’.

Kareena was recognized as a beauty to look out for when she essayed her princes-on-a-run role of Kaurvaki in ‘Asoka’. Her stunning looks grabbed the attention of Bollywood. Then ‘Jab We Met’ brought a drastic change to the course of her career. She shot to superstardom with this hit. However, her personal favourite is ‘Chameli’. “Chameli was a turning point for my career. I think the audience now wants to see me in hard-hitting roles,” she said.Talking of her movies, Kareena has a number of projects lined up for release. And I do not care. I get what I deserve. I have slogged right from my debut movie 'Refugee' to 'Jab We Met' and 'Tashaan'. An actor is signed for what he/she can deliver.Is your price flexible?I have always been flexible with my fee. The hunger is for the right roles. There were many heightened expectations from your last release ‘Tashan’ because of Saif and you?We just did what the script required us to. I do not think people should have gone to see 'Tashan' as Saif and my love story. What does that mean? We are playing characters. All the attention given to your relationship with Saif does that scare you?I can not stop living my life the way I want to just because of attention. As long as I do not let my family down, I am not scared. I will always retain my values. But yes, at times this endless attention gets scary. There are so many false stories about Saif and me. But it's ok. I understand the need to know what's going on in our lives. Are we married…are we not married? Please! Fortunately, I have learnt to talk all this unwanted speculation in my stride. The best thing is to keep doing my work and not get affected by the loose talk.Are you fully comfortable in your relationship with Saif?Yes. But only the two people in a relationship know what is going on. I do not think people have the right to know what's going on in my private life. They have my movies to judge me with. But Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor says it is her 'vegetarian' diet that keeps her fit and glowing."Apart from doing yoga to keep myself fit, I am a pure vegetarian. I don't eat meat and that has helped me a lot to keep fit," Kareena told reporters in New Delhi."I am proud to be a vegetarian and I am against those who eat meat. Go green to be fit, that's the best way for me at least," she added.Kareena had given up non-vegetarian food in 2006, that is two years after she started dating actor and former beau Shahid Kapur, a strict vegetarian himself. Kareena Kapoor is all set to fly to Paris to shoot an advertisement for an apparel chain and the Bollywood actress will don a new look, thanks to a French make-up artist. Kareena is the brand ambassador of retail chain Globus and the firm has decided to make the ad on a grand scale in Paris, complete with a makeover by a French artist, a company official said."The French artist is going to create a new look for her. We are giving her a complete makeover and she will surely look different and as usual stunning," the executive said. Company authorities also believe that she is their lucky charm."Kareena is a style icon for today's youth. So now they are planning to have an international campaign for which Kareena would be flown to Paris. Her ever encouraging and supportive boyfriend Saif will be flying with her to help her get through the shoot and, what else, spend more time together.
